Monthly Update from Julia Lopez MP

It has been a productive summer recess, and I have been liaising with Havering Council, Government and local education leaders to see how we may boost the work already underway to improve secondary school standards in Hornchurch & Upminster and raise aspirations of children of all ages.

Refurbished Leisure centre reopens on the Hill

Conservative-run Havering Council works hard to invest and deliver better services for residents right across the Borough. A great example of this is the newly refurbished Central Park Leisure Centre in Harold Hill. 

Anti-Social Behaviour in Harold Wood and across the Borough

In the past few weeks, we have been contacted by several residents who are demanding more policing in the area due to an increase in anti-social behaviour, including moped crime. Especially near our parks (Paine's Brook, Kings Park playground and Harold Wood Park).

Zac in Hornchurch & Upminster

Association AGM

Our Annual General Meeting was held at the Hornchurch public library last night and a new Chairman and two new Deputy Chairmen were appointed to run the Association in the year ahead.

Detailed plans have been released for the improvements to Harold Wood Station and its environs.

London Overground has announced the starting date and timetable of Sunday services on the Romford to Upminster train line.
