Shaun Bailey AM for Mayor of London 2020

Local resident, Shaun Bailey has been selected as the Conservative candidate for Mayor of London on the 7th May 2020.

He will go head to head against Labour’s Sadiq Khan. Shaun is passionate about London, and we can count on him to provide the best that he can for our borough.

Shaun grew up in council housing and has experienced up close the devastation that crime can have on communities. He understands why it’s important to give everyone the opportunity to succeed in life. The son to a family who came to the UK as part of the Windrush Generation, his grandfather fought for Britain in WWII and came to work hard and contribute to our society.

Shaun wants to use the wide powers of City Hall to deliver true leadership and help everyone achieve a genuine stake in society.

For two decades, Shaun has worked tirelessly with communities to help improve the life chances of London’s poorest. He was a youth worker in Ladbroke Grove for many years, where he helped disadvantaged young people move away from a life of crime by providing job opportunities.

Shaun has also worked with the government to help implement national policy that boosted the life chances of the most vulnerable.

Shaun currently serves on the London Assembly, representing Londoners from across the whole capital and exposing the mayor’s broken promises.

London is the most vibrant city in the world. It is the engine of the British economy and the heart of our national government. Shaun wants to help all Londoners have a stake in society, regardless of background, so that together we can shape our city’s new global future.
